NOTE: Please read the following instructions carefully prior to assembly
This item should be fitted by an experienced clinician or technician. This document
contains important information that must be passed on to the user at delivery.
Before assessing for the positioning of the harness, ensure that the user is sitting in an
optimum position with their bottom as far back in the seat as possible.
The Invacare Harnesses are designed to provide postural support only and as such should
not be used as a passenger restraint for transportation. A separate passenger restraint
should always be used, please refer to wheelchair user manual – transportation section.
Before each use:
Undertake a visual check for torn fabric, loose or worn screws.
Bi-Annually:
Ensure each Harness is inspected for loose or worn fastenings and that the torque settings
are checked by a suitably qualified and competent person. For heavier and high impact
users, the period between inspections should be reduced accordingly.
The Expected Product Life-Cycle for this product is 30 months.
The Invacare Harnesses are designed to provide postural support only and as such should
