(A) WHAT IS WHAT?
1. Extra wide headband with soft padding for the best comfort, even with long-term use.
2. High-attenuating cups. See the attenuation values (D:1).
3. Individually sprung bands of stainless steel provide an even distribution of pressure around the ears.
Retains its resilience better than regular plastic bands through a wide temperature range.
4. Low two-point fasteners and easy height adjustment with no protruding parts.
5. Soft, wide, foam/fluid-filled sealing rings with built-in pressure-evening canals provide low pressure,
effective sealing and individual comfort.
6. Volume control, adjustable by approx. 20 dB. Right-left balance adjustment (B:5).
7. Mike arm. Quick positioning. Four-way adjustment, centrally mounted (B:3).
8. Microphone MT51 for the 8006, 8106 (D:3), MT52 for the 8103 (D:4).
9. Cord clamp to eliminate the extra weight of the cord. Only on the 8006.
10. Stereo-Mono switch. At cord branch. Only on the 8006. When attached to a mono intercom, set the
6
stereo/mono switch to mono. Using stereo mode results in sound reproduction in one ear only.

and 8106, spiral, 0.4–1 m.
12. Attachments. 8006, earphone in molded plastic (1/4" stereo), microphone in molded plastic
(PJ-068). 8103, 8106, molded Nexus (TP-120).
(B) InSTruCTIonS For uSE
(B:1) Headband:
1. Slide the cups out and place the headset over your ears so that the sealing rings enclose the
ears completely and make a complete seal against your head.
2. Adjust the height of both cups while holding the headband down until you have a snug,
comfortable fit.
3. The headband should be fully vertical over the top of the head.
(B:2) Collapsing the collapsible headband:
1. Slide the cups all the way in.
2. Collapse the band. Make sure that the sealing rings do not have any creases and that they lie flat
against each other.
Important!
For the best possible protection, make sure that no hair comes between the sealing rings and your
head. Eyeglass frames should be as thin as possible and fit closely. For the maximum possible noise
suppression, position the microphone 3–5 mm from your mouth.
(B:3) Adjusting the length of the mike arm
1.
Loosen the nut one turn or so.
2.
Adjust the arm to the desired length.
3.
Tighten the nut.
(B:4) Adjusting the swivel function of the mike arm
1.
Open the lid with a screwdriver.
2.
Adjust the tightness of the nut, testing friction.
3.
Snap the lid in place.
(B:5) Volume/balance control
1.
To adjust balance, pull the knob out.
2.
Twist the knob to adjust right/left balance.
