5) By moving the slide control (10), the qua-
lity of steam can be varied according to
the type of textile to be ironed (more or
less delicate).
IMPORTANT
• If during use the generator switch (2) light up, you can continue iro-
ning, as this indicates correct functioning.
• When the iron is no longer delivering steam, switch off the boiler
switch (2), open the patented safety cap (1), wait 2-3 minutes for the
boiler to cool down, and then refill.
• During initial operation of the iron, a few drops of water mixed with
steam may come out of the soleplate until the temperature stabilises.
It is advisable to direct the first jets of steam onto an old cloth.
• Ensure the patented safety cap is fully and correctly screwed on,
otherwise you may experience steam escaping from around the cap.
WARNINGS
• Never have the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
• Always unplug before filling.
• The appliance is fitted with a safety thermostat, which should only be
replaced by an authorised technician.
• When repairing or replacing any component, and in particular the
special safety cap, only use original
• If the patented safety cannot be opened for cold filling of the device,
plug in the power cable plug (4), switch on the iron switch (3) and
press the button (8) to eliminate any residual pressure in the boiler.
• If replacement of the power supply cable (4) should become neces-
sary, please be sure to consult only a qualified electrician or your Polti
Service Center.
