"Edit". A new program may be placed in front or added here in the window that opens then or a marked program may be deleted.
"Configuration" is usually set automatically. Another LPT printer port, if available, may be chosen manually. In addition the access
time to the LPT1 port can be adjusted. If your computer cannot cope with the automatically set time (crashes, etc.), you should try
other times. If your computer does not attend the LPT1 port evenly (the signal arrives with interruptions and the motors start sput-
tering), you should try another adjustment.
"Exit" to end the program.
Control of the laser motors via the keyboard:
1.
Call the program (click the icon).
2.
Click the button "Output OFF".
3.
Switch on the power supply of the laser board.
4.
Click the knob "Motor 1" with the cursor and move the cursor up or down while pressing the mouse key. Cast loose the
mouse key at the desired value (e.g. display - 42). While doing so the knob on the screen turns and the setting value will be
shown in the window below.
5.
Proceed in the same manner with motor 2 and motor 3. Example: Adjust motor 2 to 60 and motor 3 to 65.
6.
Click the button "Output On" now (switch on). The motors rotate now and the laser is switched on.
7.
Now you may change the adjustments as you like by clicking the knobs for the motors again and move the cursor up or
down while pressing it. Motor 1 and Motor 2 can be adjusted in 2 senses of rotation, motor 3 can only be adjusted into one
direction.
8.
Please adjust the laser turnoff function: Set motor no. 3 to "30". Then adjust the trimming potentiometer "P1" on the laser
board in such a manner that the laser just turns on. If you continue now to adjust motor 3 downward, the laser must stop
and the laser must switch on again when adjusting the motor upward. This is for safety: When all motors stand still, the la-
ser must be off. A stationary laser point may damage the eyes.
How to program program flows:
1.
Adjust the first desired setting as mentioned under points 1...5 of the description "control via the keyboard". Then adjust
the time, i.e. how long this setting shall run. There is a window "minutes" and "seconds" in the top right-hand corner of the
screen. Place the cursor here, press "Backspace" on the keyboard and adjust e.g. 5 seconds.
2.
Now click "Save Step" to save this setting.
3.
An additional programming line may be added by clicking the button "Add Step".
4.
Here choose for example the settings Motor 1: "30", Motor 2: "0", Motor 3: "50" time: 4 seconds.
5.
Now press "Save Step" again to save this programming line.
6.
Now many other program lines may be added with "Add Step" and "Save Step" as described above.
7.
As soon as you will have finished your desired programming, you may save it under any name.
8.
To save press: "File" and then "Save As" and enter the name of the program: delete the name that is shown there with
"Backspace" and enter your own name. Then press "Save".
Start a program:
You may either get the program from the memory by: "File" then "Open", click the desired program and confirm with „öffnen" or
start the new program that was just written with "Start". The program runs once after that while the red point in the program line
indicates which program line is just running. Following the run of the last program line, the program stops automatically.
Start a program with "Infinite Loop"
You may also start a program in such a manner that it starts automatically over and over again as soon as it has run through. At
first press "Repeat" and then "Start".
The running program may be interrupted any time with "Pause" and restarted again or truncated with "Stop".
Please observe during programming that the motors have a natural inertia and cannot reach the adjusted speed immediately. If
you have any difficulties with the program on your computer (crashes, operation gets too slow), this is due to the insufficient run
time how your computer attends the LPT1 port. In this case please adjust a longer run time under "Configuration" and "Periodic
Interrupt". The shorter the time the better the motors run (but for this purpose the computer must be quick). The longer the time,
the better the program runs on slow computers (> 250 MHz). But the motors interrupt the run for a short time.

FIN / B240 PC-ohjatun "Laser-Show" ohjelmiston lyhyt selostus:
Käyttöliittymän selostus:
"Index" Tämä ikkuna osoittaa, mitä ohjelmarivejä käynnissä olevassa ohjelmassa juuri käsitellään.
"Motor 1...3" näillä 3 nupilla voidaan peilimoottoreiden kiertosuunta tai kierrosluku asettaa. Säätimien alapuolella olevassa
ikkunassa osoitetaan teholuku, jolla moottori kiertää sillä hetkellä. Käyttö: Siirrä hiiri kyseiseen kiertosäätimeen, napsauta ja
liikuta hiiren kohdistinta ylös tai alas, kunnes haluttu arvo on asetettu. Pidä hiiren painike painettuna säädön aikana.
