Electric and electronic waste may contain potentially
hazardous substances for the environment and human health.
It should therefore not be disposed of with domestic waste,
but by means of differentiated collection at specific centres
or returned to the vendor in the event of purchasing a new
identical tool. The illegal disposal of such equipment may
result in prosecution to the full extent of the law.

______________________________________________
We thank you for having purchased this electrical tool that will
hereafter also be referred to as "drill".
! WARNING! The drill is suitable for drilling metal, wood, pla-
stic and brick and for tightening screws. It is prohibited to use
dangerous materials in environments with risk of fire/explosion.
The drill is intended for DIY and not professional use.
These instructions contain information deemed necessary for
proper use, knowledge and standard tool maintenance. They
do not include information on drilling and screwing techniques;
the user can find additional information in specific books or
publications or by attending special training courses.

INSTALLATION
! IMPORTANT! The manufacturer is not liable for any direct
and/or indirect damage caused by incorrect connections.
! IMPORTANT! Before carrying out the following operations,
make sure that the plug is disconnected from the mains.
TRANSPORT
Always use the packaging or case (when provided) when
transporting the tool; this will protect it from impact, dust and
humidity which can compromise normal operation.
During transport insert the plug (pos.12) in the plug holder
(fig.H pos.13 if fitted).
MOVING
Grasp the hand grip firmly (pos.7) without pressing the switch
and after use rest it on its side without banging it.
STARTING UP
When choosing where to use the electrical tool, the following
should be considered:
- that the place is not damp and is protected from the elements.
- that there should be a large operational area free from ob-
stacles.
- that there is good lighting.
- that it needs to be used close to the general differential switch
(for the battery charger).
- that the power supply system is earthed and conforms to
the standards (only if the electrical tool is class 1, which is
equipped with a plug with earth cable).
- that the room temperature should be between 10° and 35° C.
- that the environment is not in a flammable/explosive atmo-
sphere.
Take out the machine tool and components and visually check
that they are perfectly intact; then proceed to thoroughly clean
them in order to remove any protective oils used for transport.
SIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (if fitted)
Slide the side handle support into the chuck until it has passed
it, insert the support in the housing provided in the drill body
and screw it in fully (pos.9).
CUTTING TOOL ASSEMBLY
! IMPORTANT! While assembling and disassembling the bit,
unplug the tool from the electric power supply.
According to the type of chuck supplied, observe the following
instructions:
Self-locking chuck with double ring nut without lock (if fitted)
Turn the front ring nut to open and close the jaws, holding
back the rear ring nut.
In some chuck models you will hear a click which shows it
has been fully tightened.
Self-locking chuck with double ring nut with anti-unscrewing
lock (fig.G, if fitted)
IMPORTANT! To attach the tool to the chuck, make sure the ring
nut is unlocked.
1) Unlock the chuck by moving the ring nut pos.2 away from
the ring nut pos.1
2) Turn the ring nut pos.2 to open and close the jaws, holding
back the ring nut pos.1.
3) Fix the bit, push the ring nut pos.2 towards the ring nut pos.1
until you hear the click. This operation will prevent the chuck
from opening due to strain.
Check that the bit is properly centred and firmly held inside
the chuck.
