Installing the MULTI FIX on the vehicle seat
GROUP l (9 – 18 kg)
• Pull the ISOFIX connector adjustment, found under the upholstery of the seat, to take
the ISOFIX connectors out as far as they will go. Make sure that the ISOFIX connector
release buttons are unlocked (fig.06).
NOTE: The MULTI FIX includes a pair of guides, making it easier to fasten the ISOFIX
connectors to the vehicle seat. Position the guides in front of both ISOFIX anchors, found
between the seat and the backrest. If your vehicle is fitted with these guides, you do not
need to install the ones supplied with the MULTI FIX.
• Place the MULTI FIX on the vehicle seat, facing forwards.
• Fasten the ISOFIX connectors to the vehicle seat. They will click and a green signal will
appear on each of them when they are correctly fastened (fig.07).
NOTE: Pay attention to the bag containing the Top Tether; make sure it is not trapped
between both the backrests of the seats. To prevent this, lift the bag up while you install the
seat on the vehicle seat (fig.08).
• Fit the safety seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat, by pulling the ISOFIX connector
adjustment while pressing the safety seat against the vehicle seat (fig.09).
NOTE: Check that the safety seat is securely fastened to the vehicle seat, and that both
connectors display the green signal.
• Before installing the Top Tether raise, or if necessary remove, the headrest of the vehicle
seat. Pass the free end of the Top Tether over the backrest of the vehicle seat (fig.10), and
fasten it to the ring (fig.11).
NOTE: Consult your vehicle manual to locate the position of the ring for the Top Tether.
• Tighten the Top Tether strap until the indicator turns green (fig.12).
• Loosen the harness (fig.01) and unfasten the buckle (consult the adjusting the harness
section).
• Place the child in the MULTI FIX.
• Adjust the headrest (fig.13) (consult the adjusting the headrest section).
• Lastly, adjust the harness to fit the child, by pulling the harness adjustment strap (fig.14).
• To take the child out of the MULTI FIX, unfasten the harness buckle (by pressing the rd
button) and separate the two parts.
• If you want to remove the MULTI FIX from the vehicle seat, release the Top Tether from its
ring and the ISOFIX connectors using the release buttons.
Removing the harness
WARNING: The harness should only be removed from the MULTI FIX, if you want to use the
product as group ll/lll (from 15 to 36 kg).
• Place the MULTI FIX on a horizontal surface, so that you can see the lower part of the
seat.
