3. Firmware update of the INGEREV GARAGE Basic station
via USB
The INGEREV GARAGE Basic charging stations can be updated through a USB drive. The required files can be
downloaded from the Electric Mobility product page on the Ingeteam website.

In order to update the station firmware the bootloader version must be updated first. This document explains the
process to update both.
Verification of the firmware version installed in the charging station
1. Format the USB drive as FAT32.
2. Download the file USB Structure Ingerev Garage Basic.zip from the INGEREV GARAGE Basic download
area on the Ingeteam website.
3. Unzip the ingeteam folder in the root folder of the USB memory.
4. If you do not want to extract the station charging sessions, delete the sessions folder located in the
ingeteam folder.
CAUTION
If the session data is downloaded, this data will be erased from the charging station.
5. Safely remove the USB memory.
6. Connect the memory to the INGEREV GARAGE Basic. For more information see the installation and
operation manual.
7. The data download is performed automatically. The charging station will reset and display a white flashing
light. Once completed the station will return to the status it was in before the download process.
8. Remove the USB drive and insert it in a computer.
9. The version.txt file indicates the firmware version installed in the station. This file is located in ingeteam
> support. If the installed version is older than the one available on the Ingeteam website, continue with
the update process. Otherwise, the station firmware does not need to be updated.
CAUTION
If the version.txt file is not found in ingeteam > support, the USB drive is not working correctly with the
charging station. Repeat the above process using a different USB drive.
Any USB disc that is formatted as FAT32 should be compatible, but due to the large variety of USB drivers in the
market, we cannot guarantee that they will all work. If your unit does not respond, try with a different USB drive
model.
Downloading the updated files
1. Access the download area in the section dedicated to electric mobility on the Ingeteam website (www.
ingeteam.com).
2. Check if the firmware version available on the website is newer that the one installed in the station.
3. If an update is required, download the bootloader and the firmware.
Updating the bootloader
1. In the USB drive, delete all the files located in ingeteam > support.
2. Extract the .bin file for the updated bootloader version into the ingeteam > bootloader folder in the USB
drive.
3. Rename the file to aba1020.bin.
4. Safely remove the USB drive from the computer.
