23. The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
24. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed
is stable.
25. Do not use the appliance if it is dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cable or plug
are damaged. In the case of damage, take the appliance to an electrical repair shop for
examination and repair if necessary.
26. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause an electric shock.
27. If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance,
otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.
28. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff
kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses; by clients
in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; bed and breakfast type
environments.
29. The filling aperture must not be opened during use.
FILLING WITH WATER
Ensure the iron is disconnected in the power supply.
Turn the steam control knob to position "min".
Close the splash guard.
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
Stand the iron upright.
Set temperature control to correct ironing temperature.
Inset the mains plug into the main supply.
After the indicator light has gone out and come on again you may start ironing. The
indicator light will go out from time to time during ironing.
STEAM‐IRONING
Set the temperature control to position,
steam. With conventional steam irons, water may leak from the soleplate if a too low
temperature has been selected.
Ensure that there is enough water in the water reservoir.
Stand the iron on its heal.
Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
Wait for some time for the indicator light to turn off and turn on again.
Set the variable steam knob to adjust the steam.
Notice: With conventional steam ironing, water may leak from the soleplate if a too low
temperature has been selected. If this happens, turn the temperature regulator to the
advised position. Steam will recommence as soon as the appropriate temperature has been
reached.
DRY IRONING
Turn the variable steam knob to the position 'min"(=no steam).
