Two gear selector (fig. C)
Your tool is fitted with a two gear selector to vary the
speed/torque ratio.
• Release the switch (1) and select the required
position. This can be done either with the tool
switched OFF or running under no load
condition. Always align the selector with the
arrow on the gear housing:
1 low speed/high torque(drilling large holes,
driving large screws)
2 high speed/low torque (drilling smaller holes,
drilling in wood)
For speed rates, refer to the technical data.
Do not change gears at full speed or
during use.
Chuck removal
Keyed chuck (fig. D)
• Insert the chuck key (8) into one of the holes in
the side of the chuck and strike it with a hammer
as shown.
Keyless chuck (fig. E)
• Open the chuck jaws as far as possible.
• Tighten an Allen key (9) into the chuck and strike
it with a hammer as shown.
Instructions for use
Always observe the safety instructions
and applicable regulations.
Prior to operation:
• Insert the appropriate bit.
• Mark the spot where the hole is to be drilled.
• Be aware of the location of pipework and wiring.
• Apply only a gentle pressure to the tool.
Excessive force does not speed up drilling but
decreases tool performance and may shorten
tool life.
Switching ON and OFF (fig. A)
• To run the tool, press the variable speed switch.
The pressure exerted on the variable speed
switch determines the tool speed.
• To stop the tool, release the switch.

Rotary drilling
• Select the appropriate speed.
• Proceed as described above.
Mixing
• For mixing, fit an appropriate mixing accessory
(not supplied with the tool).
• Do not use this tool to mix or pump
easily combustible or explosive fluids
(benzine, alcohol, etc.).
• Do not mix or stir inflammable liquids
labelled accordingly.
General tips for drilling with diamond core bits
Follow the core bit or manufacturer's
recommendations for using the
accessory.
• Always use core bits with integral centre drill
systems.
• Insert the centredrill into its holder in the centre of
the core bit.
• Drill at low speed until the core penetrates the
surface approx. 5-10 mm.
• Remove and unplug the machine.
• Remove the centredrill from its holder.
• Plug the machine in and insert the core bit into
the workpiece.
• Begin drilling, increasing to full speed and drill to
the desired depth.
Consult your dealer for further information on the
appropriate accessories.
