6 Check the lid is closed, or the kettle won't switch off when it boils.

7 Plug the stand into the wall socket.
8 Put the kettle on the stand – take care not to spill.
9 Press and release the 2 button. "100" will flash on the display.
10 The kettle will start to heat up.

11 If you want to boil the water, do nothing.
12 When the water boils, the element will switch off, and the display will stop flashing.
13 After about a minute, the display will switch off.
variable temperature
14 If you want to heat the water to a different temperature, use the - and + buttons to change
the display from 100 (boil) to the temperature you want.
15 The temperatures available are: 100 (boil), 95, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, and 40 (that's
°C).
16 The display will flash while the water is heating, then stop flashing to show that it has reached
the set temperature.
17 After about a minute, the display will switch off.
changing temperature
18 When the kettle has reached the set temperature, you can't reduce the temperature setting
on the display till the water has cooled down.
19 If you get the temperature wrong, and want to change it:
either pour the hot water away, and refill with cold water
or
wait till the kettle cools down (it'll cool a bit faster if you open the lid)
keep warm
20 If you want the kettle to keep the water at the set temperature, press and release the 9
button.
, This function only works at the 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, and 40 settings.
21 A dot will appear on the bottom right of the display to show that the keep warm function is
operating.
22 The element will switch on intermittently, to keep the water hot.
23 When it's heating, the display will flash. The flashing will stop when the water again reaches
the set temperature.
25 After about an hour, the appliance will switch itself off.
25 To switch it on again, press 2.
26 To cancel the keep warm function, press and release the 9 button again – the dot will
disappear.
, Keep an eye on the water level – don't let the level get below 2 cups.

27 To switch off manually, press 2.
28 This will switch off the element and the display, and put the kettle into standby mode.
29 To save electricity, unplug the stand.
