Fuel Gauge Battery Packs (Fig. C)
Some D
WALT battery packs include a fuel gauge which

consists of three green LED lights that indicate the level of
charge remaining in the battery pack.
To actuate the fuel gauge, press and hold the fuel gauge
button

. A combination of the three green LED lights will
illuminate designating the level of charge left. When the level
of charge in the battery is below the usable limit, the fuel gauge
will not illuminate and the battery will need to be recharged.
nOTE: The fuel gauge is only an indication of the charge left on
the battery pack. It does not indicate tool functionality and is
subject to variation based on product components, temperature
and end-user application.
Connecting the Hose (Fig. D)

OPERATION
Instructions for Use

WARNING: Always observe the safety instructions and
applicable regulations.

WARNING : To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn appliance off and disconnect appliance
from power source and remove battery pack before
making any adjustments or removing/installing
attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can
cause injury.
Switching On and Off (Fig. A)
To switch the appliance on, set the on/off switch

Power Source
This vacuum runs either on mains power or battery power.
The vacuum will switch between AC (mains) and DC (battery)
power automatically.
Mains Power
1. Fully unwind the mains cable.
2. Connect the plug to the mains outlet before turning the
appliance on.

Battery Power

1. Tidy the mains cable.
2. Insert a battery pack 
3. Make sure the battery pack is properly seated.
nOTE: The mains cable power source is only designed to power
the operation of the vacuum and will not charge an installed
battery pack.
