3. ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 - BATTERY ASSEMBLY
(FIG. B)
1. Insert the battery (9) in the fitting (6)
and press it until listen to a "click" of
the battery's locking/unlocking button.
After this, the battery is correctly
placed;
2. To remove it, press the locking/
unlocking button and pull the battery;
3.2 - DRILLING ACCESSORIES
ASSEMBLY AND
REPLACEMENT (FIG. C)
Never assemble or change the drilling
accessories with the equipment turned
on. Always turn it off before proceeding
to any of these operations.
1. Place the rotation mode selector (4)
into middle position to lock the "ON/
OFF" switch (7);
2. Clean the drilling accessory and
grease it with lubricant in the fitting
crevice;
3. Hold the tool and insert the drilling
accessory into the hole of the dust
shield (1);
4. Check if the accessory is well fixed.
Pull it out and check if it is locked;
5. To remove the drilling accessory,
pull the locking/unlocking sleeve (2)
according to the indicating arrows and
remove the accessory;
Make sure the drilling accessory
is properly assembled and
tightened before turning the tool on.
Misassembled or loosen accessories
may cause accidents and injuries.
4. OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
When operating the equipment, some
precautions must be considered:
� Do not apply too much pressure
against the working piece/object. If the
speed decreases abruptly, reduce the
pressure;
� When the drilling accessory gets stuck,
turn the equipment off immediately.
Avoid the reaction binaries that origin
the kickback;
� Never leave the machine before the
rotating part is completely stopped;
� Turn the machine off in case of:
- Lubricant leaking through the vent
grid;
- Damages in the machine housing;
- Damages in the "ON/OFF" switch;
- Formation of smoke or smell of burnt;
4.1 - OPERATING MODE
SELECTION (FIG. D)
This hammer can be used in two
different modes: drilling and impact
drilling.
� The drilling mode ( ) is appropriate
for metal, wood, plastic and PVC,
among others;
� The impact drilling (
) shall be used
when drilling in concrete, stone and
masonry;
To select the operating mode:
1. Press the operating mode selector
(3) locking tab;
2. Rotate the selector until listen to a
"click". After this, the tab returns to its
original position and locks the selector
in the selected position. Never operate
with the selector placed in middle
positions;
4.2 - HAMMER'S START
AND STOP (FIG. E)
1. Press the "ON/OFF" switch (7) and
lean the drilling accessory against the
surface to be drilled;
2. To increase and decrease the rotation
speed, press or relieve the "ON/OFF"
switch. The maximum speed is reached
when the switch is fully pressed;
3. To turn the equipment off, release
the "ON/OFF" switch;
When the equipment is running, the
indicator led (8) is activated.
4.3 - SELECTING THE
ROTATION MODE AND
LOCKING THE "ON/OFF"
SWITCH (FIG. F)
Do not change the rotation direction
while the equipment is running: it will
cause serious damages to the tool.
Always check the rotation direction
before start operating the tool.
1. Use the rotation mode selector (4),
to select the shaft rotation direction:
� With the selecting button to the left,
the shaft spins clockwise;
� With the selecting button to the right,
the shaft spins counter clockwise;
� With the selecting button in the
middle, the "ON/OFF" switch (7) is
locked;
