1. SAFETY MEASURES
Please make sure you take each of the following precautions.
PLACE OF WORK
•
Use the pump on a smooth stable surface, without stones, gravel etc.
•
Keep the pump at least 1 metre away from buildings.
•
Keep the pump away from inflammable products and other potentially dangerous materials
(waste, cloths, lubricants, explosives).
FIRE PREVENTION
•
Make sure you turn off the engine before refuelling.
•
Do not fill the fuel tank excessively.
•
If you spill fuel, clean it carefully and wait until it has dried before starting the engine.
•
Do not start the pump if you are smoking or near a fire.
PRECAUTIONS WITH EXHAUST FUMES
•
Do not inhale exhaust fumes. Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, a colourless, odourless
and highly dangerous gas, which may cause loss of consciousness and even death.
•
Do not use the pressure pump indoors or in poorly ventilated areas, such as tunnels, caves, etc.
•
Be extremely careful when using the pressure pump in the vicinity of persons and animals.
OTHER IMPORTANT POINTS
•
Keep the pump away from hot and rotating parts during operation of the pump.
•
Do not allow anyone to use the pump without knowing the instructions.
•
Learn how to turn off the pump quickly, as well as to use all its controls.
•
Shut the fuel tank and the fuel cock safely before moving the pump.
•
Check oil levels and fill if necessary.
•
Check pipes and couplings carefully in case they are loose or there are fuel leaks.
•
Do not use the diaphragm pump to mix water and oil.
•
Do not use the pump with dirty or waste waters.
•
Do not use the pump without water.
