Maintenance of compressor
WARNING!
Spill of lubricating oil can cause a serious harm to the environment.
To immobilize spilled oil using a binder.
To collect immobilized oil with a rag.
To utilize the rag in accordance with applicable legal requirements of the application site.
Place a container to collect the oil under compressor.
Remove the plug of oil tank inspection opening (1) or the screw of oil discharge hole (5) so that the old
oil run out.
Tilt the compressor so that the old oil run out from the compressor without a trace.
Check if it is necessary to replace the sealant on the oil tank inspection hole (1) or the screw of oil dis-
charge hole (5).
Again tight the plug of oil tank inspection opening (1) or the screw of oil discharge hole (5).
Remove the plug of oil discharge hole and oil dipstick and fill new oil with a suitable hopper (2).
When the compressor operates at a temperature of 10 ° C to 40 ° C use a special oil Prebena
Z200.40, and at a temperature below 10 ° C use oil Prebena with good antifriction properties
Z200.60.
Check the oil level at the marking ring (3) or at the oil gage (4)
ATTENTION!
Compressor damage due to use of improper, contaminated or mixed lubricants.
When the compressor operates at a temperature below 10
or the oil Prebena with good antifriction properties Z200.60.
Do not use inappropriate or contaminated lubricating oil.
Do not mix different varieties of oils.
Dispose of used lubricating oil without damaging the environment.
Check wedge belt tension, adjustment and replacement
TWINSTAR 450 and TWINSTAR 690
To check wedge belt tension, proceed as follows:
ATTANTION!
Compressor damage due to improper tension of the wedge belt.
Make sure that the wedge belt is tensioned properly.
To adjust the wedge belt, proceed as follows:
Mark the position of electric motor on the support plate of compressor.
Loosen the fixing screws of the electric motor.
Push the electric motor towards the compressor unit to remove the wedge belt. If necessary, replace the
wedge belt.
Move the electric motor back at about 2 mm from the previously made mark.
Fasten the electric motor with fixing screws.
First, place the wedge belt at the small pulley and then tighten it to the big pulley.
Again, check the tension of wedge belt and if it is necessary repeat the procedure.
Fasten the belt front protection back using restrictive dowels.

Turn restrictive dowels at ¼ of a turn to the right.
Wedge belt is unlocked.
Remove the front protection of the belt.
Hold down the wedge belt with your finger from the top center be-
tween the pulleys. Wedge belt may move maximum at width of the
belt.
