6 Safety Sockets

Unless otherwise indicated in the technical data, the following color coding applies for supply and signal
connections on components of the Festo Didactic Learning System.
Color Meaning
Supply voltage
(4 mm/gray)
Neutral conductor
(4 mm/gray with blue ring)
Protective grounding terminal PE+
The specified protection class and safe use can only be ensured if laboratory safety cables supplied by Festo
Didactic are used.

7 Description

A basic knowledge of the various household illuminants can be communicated using the Room Lighting
EduTrainer ® .
There are three types of illuminants available:
– Halogen lamp bulb
– Compact fluorescent lamp
– High-voltage LED lamp
To reduce the power, a rotary dimmer and a series installation dimmer are available. In addition, a switch
and a button are available.
All switching devices and consuming devices required for the tests are available in the device and can be
connected using 4-mm safety laboratory cables.
