Automatic IMPRES Battery Calibration
The Motorola Solutions IMPRES Adaptive Charger, when used in
conjunction with a Motorola Solutions IMPRES battery, has the ability
to determine when it is appropriate to calibrate the battery (see
"IMPRES Feature / Benefit Description" on page 2 for complete list of
IMPRES benefits).
Note: The radio charging pocket will not perform the calibration
process.
The IMPRES battery must be outside from the IMPRES charger pocket
for more than 30 minutes for an automatic calibration and recondition.
When an IMPRES battery is properly inserted into the charger, the
charger determines if it is appropriate to calibrate the battery. If the
battery needs calibration, the charger automatically indicates a
Steady Amber. This process may take up to 12 hours or more to
complete, depending upon the state of charge and capacity rating of
the battery when it is inserted.
It is important to note, for this process to be effective, the IMPRES
battery must be allowed to complete the calibration/recharge process.
Leave the battery in the charger until the charger indicates a
Steady Green.
At the completion of the calibration cycle, the charger automatically
recharges the IMPRES battery.
