13. TROUBLESHOOTING

If you encounter the following problems in using your MyThermo BW-CX10, please refer to this
troubleshooting guide. If the problem persists, contact customer service at 0892 350 334.
The screen displays nothing:
Check that the battery is sufficiently charged.
Temperatures over 95° are displayed:
The temperature is given in Fahrenheit. Change the unit of measurement to Celsius.
The display shows a body temperature below 32°C / 89.6°F
To measure body temperature, the mode BODY must be selected. If the thermometer is in
SURFACE TEMP or ROOM mode the displayed reading indicates the temperature displayed,
<32°C / 89.6°F, corresponds to the external temperature of your body.

The message HI is displayed: The tested temperature is above the measurement range of
the selected mode, which is above 43°C /109.4°F in BODY mode and above 93.3°C /199.9°F in
SURFACE TEMP mode.
The message LO is displayed: The tested temperature is below the measurement range of the
selected mode, which is below 32°C /89.6°F in BODY mode and below 0°C /32°F in SURFACE
mode.
Causes of LO message display
Measurement of temperature hampered by
hair, sweat...
Temperature measurement obstructed by
draught /air flow.
Temperature taken at intervals too close, the
MyThermo did not have the time to reset.
The measuring distance is too large.
Bluetooth connection
If you have problems with the Bluetooth:
- Ensure that the MyThermo BW-CX10 is within reach of your smartphone/tablet with which you
would like to synchronise it.
- Make sure that the Bluetooth is activated on your smartphone and that it is charged.
- Make sure you are in BODY mode on the MyThermo BW-CX10. No measurement taken in
SURFACE or ROOM mode can be transferred to the application.

Solutions
Ensure that the forehead is completely bare
before taking any temperature.
Ensure that you are not in the axis of an air
flow/draught as this could cause interferences
with the infra-red system.
Please respect the minimum 15 second delay
between measurements - a 1 minute delay is
recommended.
Please observe the measuring distance.
(Between 2-5 cm / 1-2 in).
