1 In-house production monitoring
1.1 Incoming inspections of source materials
The fabricator has to prove, based on Inspection Certificates 3.1 acc. to DIN EN 10204
provided by the manufacturer of the source materials or by carrying out tests, that the
resins and reinforcement materials correspond to those specified in Annex 2. For source
materials with a national technical approval, the official conformity mark replaces
Certificate 3.1 according to DIN EN 10204.
1.2 Testing the containment units
a) The dimensional accuracy of each containment unit, including wall thickness, must be
tested in accordance with Annex 1.
b) Every containment unit shall undergo a leak test.
2 Initial test
Before ongoing production begins at the manufacturing plant, a containment unit must
be selected at random from the inspected output, at the discretion of the sampler, and
tested by the approved inspection agency for compliance with this national technical
approval.
The samples for initial testing shall usually be taken and marked by the representative of
the inspection agency during the initial factory inspection. The samples must meet the
provisions of Annex 1, of section 1 of this annex and of section 2.3.1 of the Special
Provisions. The sampler must document the sampling process. The test report must
confirm that the samples meet the provisions of Annex 1, of section 1 of this annex and
of section 2.3.1 of the Special Provisions.

2. Transport, installation and
operating instructions

1. General information
1.1 Attention should be paid to the following documents

– Regulations of the water, industrial and building
laws, hazardous substances law where applicable
– Inspection declaration

1.2 Fields of use

The rectangular, open collecting troughs of glass fibre
reinforced plastic GF-UP can be used as a part of storage
systems with mobile containers.

They are designed for the storage of:
– used and new engine and gear oils
– diesel fuel, fuel oil EL
– various acids, alkaline solutions, saline solutions
and chemicals according to the resistance list in
the approval.
2. Transport
Pay special attention to the following to avoid damages
and maintain the warranty claims:
– do not drop or throw the collecting trough
– do not place on edges or sharp objects
3. Installation conditions
The installation conditions for the respective media can
be found in the pertinent water, industrial and building law
regulations.
The GRP collecting troughs should be installed on a firm,
level base.
4. Maintenance
GRP collecting troughs require no special maintenance.
The collecting trough should be checked regularly by the
operator according to its approval.
