1 General safety instructions

1.1 Explanation of the used safety symbols

In this manual are used symbols for the emphasis of particularly important sections. All sections, which
are countersigns with a symbol must be considered particularly.
NOTE!

This symbol is used to draw attention to sections containing particularly
important information concerning processes, methods and the use of facilities,
etc.
DANGER!
This symbol is used wherever insufficient care can result in danger to life and
limb.
WARNING!
This symbol is used wherever any deviation from the described procedure, or
incompetently completed work, can result in damage to the machine.
DANGER OF DEATH!
This symbol is used to emphasize sections in which persons are warned of
electrical voltage and the associated dangers.

1.2 Dangers and their prevention

The combined action of the machine, controls, tools and protective equipment as well as the behaviour
of the operator according to the safety rules are indispensable for safe working at he machine.
The majority of accidents in conjunction with machines are injuries caused by closing tools. Most of
these injuries are injuries of fingers and hands. The risk of being injured not only exists for the operator
himself, but especially for other persons.
