No Loss Drain Trap (where fitted) Check / Cleaning
S Remove the four socket head screws then carefully split the trap.
Clean and inspect all internal parts with particular attention to the
water level sensor(s).
S If the stainless steel strainer mesh is blocked, remove it and clean
in a weak detergent solution.
Evaporator (low side) Refrigerant Pressure Adjustment
The low side refrigerant pressure should be checked during installation start–up, and periodically when local ambient conditions change by more than
6_C (10_F).
S Install a refrigerant gauge to a low side Schradert connection.
S Check pressure when the 2RPS condenser fan switch is about to close and start the fan(s).
S Increase pressure by turning the hot gas valve adjustment screw clockwise (decrease pressure by turning counter–clockwise).
S Reference chart below for refrigerant pressure–temperature relationship.

S Compressed air dewpoint is approximately 0.5_C to 2_C (0.9_F to 3.6_F) higher than the evaporating temperature when the dryer is operating at
its nominal rated conditions and 3.3_C to 5_C (6_F to 9_F) evaporated superheat setting.
Evaporated Superheat Adjustment
The evaporated superheat may be checked when conducting major service or when very precise pressure dewpoint control is desired. This
procedure should only be performed by a qualified refrigeration technician.
S
Load the dryer with a minimum of 80% of full compressed air rated load at these controlled conditions:
Ambient temperature
Compressed air inlet temperature
Compressed air inlet pressure
Compressed air inlet pressure dewpoint
S
Do not exceed full rated load.
S
Allow dryer parameters to stabilize (30 minutes with no changes in conditions).
S
Install a refrigerant gauge to a low side Schrader connection.
S
Install a thermocouple or similar device to pipe wall immediately adjacent to the thermal expansion valve temperature bulb. Similar device must
be capable of indicating wall temperature within 1 _C (2 _F).
S
Adjust superheat within the specification of Section 8.1. Evaporated superheat can be increased by turning the thermal expansion valve adjustment
screw clockwise (decrease by turning counter–clockwise).
S
Allow dyer to stabilize (30 minutes with no changes in conditions) after adjustment before checking evaporated superheat.
S
On units with multiple evaporators, check setting on each evaporator and thermal expansion valve before making adjustments.
NOTICE
Do not adjust the low pressure below 5.03 barg (73 psig) or above 5.66
barg (82 psig).

S Replace any defective parts (see parts manual for repair kit).
S Re–assemble and later, with machine running, check that
condensate is expelled at regular period and no alarms are signaled
on trap or on INTELLISYS display.
