PROBLEM
LIGHT DOESN'T TURN ON
IMAGE CANNOT BE SEEN OR

CAUSE
Power supply not plugged.
Potentiometer
The aperture iris diaphragm
is not completely opened.
Brightness level is low.
Objective is not aligned with
the optical axis.
Objectives or filters are dirty. Wipe them clean.
The aperture iris diaphragm
is not opened correctly.

SOLUTION
Check that the 5Vdc power supply
jack is well inserted on the rear of the
microscope.
Rotate the brightness adjustment
potentiometer and check if there is an
increase in the light output.
Completely open the aperture iris
diaphragm.
Rotate the brightness adjustment po-
tentiometer.
Rotate the nosepiece until an objective
is well inserted in the optical path (it
"clicks").
Open the aperture iris diaphragm
completely.
