Check screw connections

• Regular tests to be carried out at intervals of at the longest one year by a qualified person.
In the event of damage and particular incidents that could influence the carrying capacity and after

repairs an extraordinary testing by a qualified person is to be carried out.
• Before a sight and function check under some circumstances prior cleaning of the handling system may
be necessary. That applies particularly if they are contaminated with materials e.g. dyes and salts from a
previous use.
The test regime for a sight and function test includes fissures, deformities, cracks, damage, wear,
•
corrosion damage and function faults of the handling system.
• As proof that the tests have been carried out, a test list is to be compiled and kept by the operator.
With visible deformities, obvious damage, heavy wear of the screws and screw guides the handling
•
system must not be used until repaired.
