6.1 Routine maintenance
WARNING!
•
Wear a protective mask and direct the air outlet downwards to avoid breathing in noxious vapours.
•
Before carrying out any maintenance procedures, disconnect the air supply hose from the tool.
•
Any maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual should be performed at an Authorised CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l.
Service Point.
Routine maintenance work can be performed by operators.
6.1.1 General
Before carrying out any maintenance:
•
Engage the safety catch (12).
•
Disconnect the air supply hose.
•
Wear heavy-duty gloves.
6.1.2 Lubrication
•
To keep the necessary lubrication of the pneumatic motor (5), regularly check the oil level in the compressor lubricator.
6.1.3 Greasing the gear box (6)
•
Every 20 working hours, remove the screw (15) and verify the grease level. For adding, use high quality bisulphide of
molibdenum grease.
WARNING!
Grease leakages from the gear box in the points (16) are not due to faults, but to an excessive grease quantity.
6.1.4 Maintenance of the cutting blade (2)
At the end of each working day, clean the cutting blade, remove any deposits, put few drops of oil onto the blade and make the tool
idle for few seconds. This operation will keep the cutting blade in order for the following day.
6.1.5 Sharpening of the cutter blade (2)
Every 100 working hours, sharpen the blade with a suitable filing stone.
6.1.6 Day end maintenance
At the end of every working day, put few drops of oil inside the air connection (10) fitted in the handle (7) and make the tool idle for
few seconds. This operation will avoid deposits due to the presence of condensation in the air.
WARNING!
•
Do not use hydraulic oil or brake fluid. These may cause irreparable damage.
•
Do not throw the oil out in the environment. Always observe current environmental protection laws when disposing
of the oil.
6.2 Special maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before carrying out any maintenance procedures, disconnect the air supply hose from the tool.
•
Before making any of the following operations, the operator shall wear protective gloves.
Special maintenance operations must be performed by qualified mechanics.
