Operating instructions
This mirror ball set contains the basic
elements of a fascinating light instal-
lation. Whether you use it as the basis
of a professional light show or for at-
mospheric colour effects in your party
cellar – there are no limits to the use of
SKS 20.
1. Safety Notes
• Please read the operating manual prior to
start-up!
• Never try to open the appliance.
• Have repairs carried out by qualified special-
ists only!
• Prevent the appliance from excessive loads.
• Do not expose the appliance to high tempera-
tures, excessive vibration or moisture.
• Make sure that no liquids penetrate into the
housing (Current blow danger!).
• Care for a sufficient airing of the device. Never
cover it when in use.
• Not to set up within reach of children or ani-
mals.
• Always disconnect the halogen spotlight from
the mains before changing the bulb.
• Avoid changing a bulb if the halogen spot-
light has already been in operation for several
hours. Let the device cool down first.
• SKS 20 is only suitable for use within closed
rooms.
2. Assembling the halogen spotlight
and the colour wheel
1. Before assembling the halogen spotlight,
check whether the surface is even and heat-
resistant.
2. Fix the halogen spotlight to a wall or under a
ceiling using an appropriate mounting sys-
tem.
3. Clamp the motor for the colour wheel to the
spotlight and screw it tightly.
4. Now loosen the front nut from the motor
for the colour disk and take off the upper
toothed locked washer.
5. Put the colour disk onto the shaft up to the
toothed locked washer.
6. Now push the toothed locked washer pre-
viously removed onto the thread in front of
the colour disk and then screw the nut firmly
onto the thread.
Note! The device emits an unpleasant smell
during the first operating hours. This is on no
account a device error, but is caused by the
strong heat development of the spot.
3. Changing the bulb
1. Always disconnect the halogen spotlight
from the mains whenever you change the
bulb.
2. Let the device cool down before touching
the housing or halogen bulb.
3. Remove the motor of the colour wheel and
remove the tension ring from the halogen
spotlight.
4. Unscrew the two screws on the halogen bulb
and remove the cable lugs.
5. Only replace the defective halogen bulb with
a halogen bulb with identical technical con-
nection values (6 V/30 W, PAR 36).
6. Assembly of the halogen spotlight is per-
formed using the reverse sequence of steps.
4. Assembling the motor
1. Only use the motor for mirror balls produced
by H+H.
2. Before assembling the motor, ensure that
the surface is even and heat-resistant in or-
der to prevent the motor from falling or the
surface from igniting.
3. Using the base of the housing as a template,
transfer the boreholes to the surface.
4. Drill the holes and insert the rawlplugs. De-
pending on the surface in question, choose
appropriate rawlplugs (mounting material
not supplied) and screw the motor tightly.
5. Please ensure that there is sufficient space
between the mirror ball and the walls.
6. Finally, connect the motor to the mains
(230 V AC).
5. Assembling the mirror ball
1. Fix the key ring in the designated borehole in
the middle of the motor axle.
2. Shorten the chain as required. Please en-
sure that you leave a sufficient distance in
order to prevent risk of injury due the mirror
ball being hung too low.
3. Fix the mirror ball to the chain with the help
of the second key ring.
