Gasoline Engine
Possible Cause(s)
1. Water in tank
2. Speed too fast
1. Severe air leak in pilot unloader
valve
2. Restriction in unloader lines
Toggle lever on pilot unloader valve in
loaded position
Low engine oil. Some engines
equipped with low-oil shutdown
1. Wrong unloader valve setting
2. Defective ASME safety valve
Two Stage Gasoline Air Compressors
Corrective Action
1. Drain tank. (This should be done
DAILY)
2. Check speed. See specifications
1. Check all fittings and lines and
replace those which leak
2. Remove cause of restriction
Flip toggle level up into the unload
position
Add oil to proper level
1. Adjust to lower pressure (175
maximum psi for two-stage unit or
125 psi for single stage unit). (See
Operation
2. Replace valve
