Before using your dishwasher for the first time:

B. Fill the tank with dishwasher salt.
C. Adjust the rinse aid dose.
D. Fill the dispenser with rinse aid.
E. Fill the dispenser with detergent.

In order to avoid limescale deposits on the dishes and in the dishwasher, dishes

should be washed with softened water.
Tap water with a hardness of more than 5°dH must be softened with a special
•
dishwasher salt to make it suitable for use in a dishwasher.
To find out the water hardness in your town, ask your local water company or check
•
it using a water hardness test strip.

Water softener adjustment procedure

Close the dishwasher door.

Press the "On/Off " button to turn the appliance on.
3.
Within one minute after switching on the appliance, press and hold down the
"Start/Pause" button for 5 seconds to enter the setting mode.

Press the "Start/Pause" button one or more times to select the appropriate
setting for your water hardness. Refer to the table on the next page to select
setting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6.

If no button is pressed within 5 seconds, the setting mode is deactivated. Your
setting is saved.
