* All the components indicated in Table superior, Spare parts can be changed by the user
(consult the section of the book).
* We recommend changing the valves every two years. Even so, the frequency of use must be
considered.
* We recommend changing the sealing joint every year. However, the frequency of use
must be considered. The deterioration of the joint can affect the normal functioning and the
safety of the pressure cooker.
The safety devices must not be altered in any way. If any of these devices or others that are
important for safety has to be changed, only the original spare parts must be used.
Use LACOR original parts.
How to cook with the pressure cooker
1.- Before you use the pressure cooker for the first time, pour 1 litre of milk and 3 litres of water
into it and boil them for 5 minutes without the lid. Then empty the cooker and wash it really
well. This operation will remove grease and odors generated during manufacture.
2.- The cooker must never be filled to more than 2/3 of its capacity, for the valves could be
obstructed during cooking and when the valve comes down, food would come out along with
the steam, which would dirty everything in its way.
Opening system
Proceed as follows:
1.- To open the cooker on a flat surface, pull the rotary valve support/counterweight (checking
that there is no pressure inside) by slightly loosening it to the left and slightly pressing it
upwards until it comes off.
2.- Completely unscrew (to the left/anti-clockwise) the screwable central knob.
3.- Take the stainless steel bridge out of its place by slightly lifting it out of its side
sockets/supports.
4.- Remove (lift) one of the earflaps of the rubber sealing joint and drag it towards the centre of
the lid in a way that the seal comes out of its cavity and is, therefore, separated from the
rest of the cooker's assembly.
5.- Take the lid by the two knobs/bases and lift it up vertically.
6.- Finally, take the aluminium perforated rack by its handle, lift it up vertically and take it out of
its fitting in the cooker.
From now on, you can proceed to put food into the cooker.
Locking system
Proceed as follows:
1.- Always place the perforated rack in its fitting in the pressure cooker (this rack prevents the
food inside the cooker from obstructing the valves);
2.- Place the lid on top of the rack and put it into position (centre it as best as possible);
