3. The temperature does not stay constant
Check with the supplier of your boiler if it can work with thermostatic taps. Water heaters
and hot water cylinders are always optimal. Instantaneous heating systems should be
consulted with the heater manufacturer.
1. If your hot water system is suitable, clean the filters and the thermostat cartridge as is
specified in section 1.
2. If the filters are not in place, check if some impurity is keeping check valves open.
3. Perhaps difference between cold and hot water pressure is excessive.
- This must not exceed the two pressure bars.
- In case of being superior, a professional should install a pressure reducer valve in the
water with higher pressure.
4. When showering and someone opens a faucet with large flow, the water burns or
comes out very cold and the temperature does not stabilize in less than 1 second
• Clean and adjust the temperature of the thermostatic cartridge as detailed in section
1. If the problem persists, replace the cartridge.
5. I cannot regulate the temperature. Requesting water at 38ºC I get hot water,
requesting cold water I get hot water and requesting cold water comes hot water.
• Possibly have the installation that does not follow international plumbing standards and
the pipes are inverted.
• Hot water should come out through the pipe on the left and cold water through on
the right. Unfortunately, you will have either to rebuild the installation or replace the
thermostatic mixer with a single-lever mixer (with inverted operation).

international plumbing regulations.
