• Hold the tool with a light, but safe, grip because
the risk from vibration is generally greater when
the grip force is higher.
• Residual risks relating to repetitive work hazards
such as duration of use in respect to working posi-
tions and forces may exist. It is advised to consult
EN 1005-3 and EN 1005-4 for such information.
• Slips, trips and falls are major causes of workplace
injury. Be aware of slippery surfaces when operat-
ing the tool.
• Proceed with additional care in unfamiliar sur-
roundings. Hidden hazards may exist, such as
electricity or other utility lines.
• If the tool is used in an area where there is static
dust, it may spread the dust and cause a hazard.
• Where dust hazards are created, the priority shall
be to control them at the point of emission.

Operation instructions

Connecting the compressor
• Connect the coupling on the air hose to the tool air
plug (D).

Load and unload the fastener

Connect the compressor before you load the
fasteners. If you load the fasteners before the
compressor is connected, the fasteners may be
shoot out accidentally. Point the nozzle away from
any personnel and keep your finger away from the
trigger when loading the fastener.
• Load fasteners into tool with "2-step" magazine:
· Slide the fastener strip into the correct groove (40
or 50 mm) in the magazine (E) until the fastener
strip has passed the fastener stopper (B).
· Pull the pusher (C) until it is beyond the stopper
(B).
· Gently release the pusher (C) to engage the
fastener strip and feed it into the nose piece.
• Unload fasteners from tool with "2-step" magazine:
· Press the release lever on the pusher (C) and
tilt the tool to slide the fastener strip to the rear
end of the magazine.
· Press the fastener stopper (B) and slide out the
strip.
• Load fasteners into tool with "3-step" magazine:

Operating the tool

• This is not an ordinary pneumatic nailer that drives
the nail into the work piece with one hard stroke.
This is the reason why it does not have a trigger or
a standard work piece contact. The nailer
has a multi-blow system that drives in the
nail with many soft, but fast strokes.
Function
• Use the point of the nail to locate the hole in the
metal connector plate. Once located push the tool
harder against the work piece, and the multi-blow
function will start. The blows will continue as long
as the operator pushes the tool towards the work
piece and stops when the nail is flush.
• If you miss the hole and fire directly on the metal
plate, the nail will stay in the nose of the tool. Simply
re-centre the nail point and insert the nail in the hole.

Clearing a jammed fastener

• In the case of fastener jam, disconnect the air sup-
ply before you perform any actions. Point the tool
away from yourself or anyone else.
• Release pusher to avoid pressure on the fastener strip.
• Use a suitable tool e.g. a #2 Phillips screw driver
to insert into the drive channel.
• Tap the screw driver with a hammer to push back
the driver blade and release the jam.
• Remove the jammed fastener with needle-nose
pliers or similar type of tool. Do not use your hand
to remove the fastener.
• If you failed to remove the jammed fastener by
above method contact your local TJEP dealer.
