OPERATION
The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

1.
Take the appliance out of the packaging.
2.
Clean the appliance thoroughly to remove any manufacturing residues
(see "Cleaning and maintenance").
Making popcorn
ATTENTION:
•
Always use popcorn maize to prepare popcorn.
•
Do not add other ingredients, such as butter or oil, to the popping chamber.
•
Do not leave the appliance switched on for more than necessary. If you do so the appliance may
overheat and activate the overheating safeguard. Allow the popcorn maker to cool down for 15
minutes before you use the appliance again.
1.
Fill the measuring cup (max 50 gr) with popcorn maize, and sprinkle the popcorn maize into the
popping chamber. Do not add more than one measuring scoop of popcorn maize. Do not add any
other ingredients to the popping chamber.
2.
Fit the lid to the popping chamber, and fit the measuring scoop to the lid. If you so wish, you can put a
pat of butter in the measuring scoop to melt it.
3.
Put a bowl under the opening in the lid.
4.
Put the plug into the wall socket.
5.
Switch on the appliance by setting the On/Off switch to 'I'. After a few minutes most maize kernels will
pop and fall into the bowl.
TIP: You can flavor your popcorn with, for example, the melted butter, sugar or salt.
6.
Switch the appliance off by setting the On/Off switch to '0'.
7.
Pull the plug out of the socket.
8.
Let the appliance cool down for about 15 minutes before using it again or storing it.
9.
Corn kernels may remain in the pop room. Remove it immediately after the appliance has cooled
down. That is to prevent caking of food residues.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean the appliance and the loose parts thoroughly after each use:
1.
Remove the plug from the wall socket, and allow the appliance to cool down completely for about 15
minutes.
2.
Remove any food residues from the popping chamber.
3.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth after each use, and then dry thoroughly.
4.
Clean the lid and the measuring scoop with standard washing-up liquid. Rinse with clean water, and
dry thoroughly.
5.
Keep the appliance in a dry place.

Verify that the appliance is not connected to the power supply before you clean it.
•
Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to
clean the appliance.
