Volvo Penta Easy Connect app instructions
1. Download and install the free Easy Connect app,
available on App Store and Google Play.
2. Activate the Bluetooth function on your phone or
tablet and switch on the ignition of the boat.
3. Tap "Open" to launch the app. Tap "OK" or "Don't
show this message again" on the disclaimer page.
4. Users who do not have the possibility to create a
Volvo Penta ID will now end up in the Easy Connect
app. For more information regarding possibilities
to create a Volvo Penta ID, refer to "Can I create a
Volvo Penta ID?" in FAQ* online.
5. Users in countries where Volvo Penta ID is available
can now create a Volvo Penta ID.
6. First tap "Connect" and then "Sign up now" at the
bottom of the page to create a Volvo Penta ID, or
connect to your existing Volvo Penta ID.
7. First time you run the app, the "New Boat" page
appears, to set up the boat information. To set up
a new boat, or change existing, tap "My boat". To
create a new boat, tap the plus sign (+) in the upper
right corner. Tap "Add photo" to upload a photo from
your photo library and provide the "Boat name" and
"Dealer e-mail" information.
8. Tap to select "Installation type", EVC or non-EVC
depending on the installation. Default is EVC.
9. Tap "Easy Connect Interface" to choose your inter-
face NMEA 2000 EASY CONNECT and a passcode
security message appears.
10. Tap "Connect" and bond with NMEA/Easy Connect.
11. Enter the six-digit Bluetooth code, printed on the
NMEA/Easy Connect interface label, then tap "Pair"
(only the first time you pair with the interface).
12. The boat configuration page is shown when the pair-
ing process is completed.
13. Press "Start" to begin using Easy Connect.
