Basic operations

Turn the radio on

Turn the knob [2] to the right to turn the radio on. You will hear 2 confirmation beeps. The
screen will light up and will first display the greeting interface (PNI logo), followed by the display
of frequencies or channels. If the voice prompt function is active, you will hear the message
"frequency mode" or "channel mode", depending on the setting.

Turn the radio off

Turn the knob [2] to the left to turn the radio off. You will hear a click.

Adjust the volume

After turning on the radio, continue to turn the knob to the right or to the left to adjust the
volume to the desired level. Do not use the radio for a long time with the volume at maximum.

Make a call

Note: Press the EXIT key to change the main channel, if there are 2 channels displayed on the
screen. In standby mode, long press the MENU key to switch to frequency mode (VFO) and
channel mode (MR). After selecting the channel or frequency, press the PTT key to make a call.
Speak into the microphone with a normal tone of voice. The red LED lights up.
Release the PTT key to receive.
