Repeater mode programming
The instructions below are valid if you know the transmission and reception frequencies that the
repeater uses and that you are authorized to use them.
1.
Long press the MENU key to switch to VFO frequency mode. The VFO icon appears on
the screen on the right.
2.
Using the numeric keypad, enter the repeater transmission frequency (which is the reception
frequency for you).
3. Press the MENU key to access the menu.
4. Press the [2] [6] keys to set the offset direction.
5. Press the MENU key, then the ▲/▼ keys to set Plus (positive) or Minus (negative).
6. Press the MENU key to save.
Optional:
to save in memory, read the chapter Manual programming.
to set CTCSS tones, read the CTCSS chapter.
7.
Press the EXIT key to exit the menu.
8. Make a test call through the repeater.
Note: If you have problems connecting to the repeater, check the settings or resume the
procedure. Some amateur radio repeaters use a 1750Hz tone to open the repeater. For details
