7 . MAINTENANCE
To ensure maximum safety and minimum operating costs, the instal-
lation must be checked twice yearly by qualified personnel.
The nature of certain effluents results in the formation of a
toxic heavy gas (hydrogen sulfide: H
mended to avoid climbing down into the station.
a) The pump fault indicator light on the control box should be lit. Check
thermal relay adjustment and reset by pressing the blue relay button.
b) Replace (check rating).
If the fuse persistently blows, check the current drawn by the motor
concerned. If this current is significantly higher than the nominal value
on the rating plate, the motor is faulty and should be replaced.
c) Disconnect power supply to the control box and check if the shaft
turns freely. If the shaft is seized, disassemble the pump.
d) Disconnect the connection box from the motor concerned and
check power supply at terminals and check stator insulation. Replace
the motor if necessary.
e) Replace.
a) Check supply voltage (low cross-section cable, drop in power supply,
etc...).

b) Check electrical connections and invert the two phase wires on the
thermal relay.
c) Disassemble and clean the pump.
a) Replace.
b) Check all connections in connection box.
c) Unblock and ensure free movement.
