tions before operating the tool. Failure to follow all the
instructions may result in electric shock, fire, property
damage and/or severe bodily injury.

tion and maintenance of the different parts of the

Intended Use

This product is designed for holding power tools within the
specified load / torque capacity. No other use permitted.

Special precautions for WP Balancer

Secure the drum lock,
tighten the lock screw on the balancer.

Remove the load.

Secure the load.

Release the drum lock,
release the lock screw on the balancer.

Installation hazards
• Mount the torque arm bracket / support securely. Ensure
the torque arm support has a minimum safety factor of
five times the combined maximum load capacity plus
torque arm weight.
• When using a balancer with the torque arm:
• Ensure that the balancer suspension support has a mini-
mum safety factor of five times the combined maximum
load capacity plus balancer weight.
• Attach an additional support cable or chain to another
support independent of the one holding the balancer.
• Examine the suspension hooks, cable and chain for wear.
Replace any worn parts before installation.
• Check that the tool holder is securely tightened before
operating the torque arm or tool.
Operating Hazards
• Do not exceed the recommended load or torque capacity
ranges.
• Operators must be physically able to manoeuvre the
torque arm. If you are unfamiliar with the torque arm,
adjust the tool to a low torque setting the first time you
operate it.
• Daily examine the torque arm attachment and all struc-
tural parts for wear or cracks. Replace the entire arm if
extensive wear, damage or cracks are detected.
• Do not operate the torque arm if damaged or malfunc-
tioning.
