1. DESCRIPTION
The escape hoods Series H 900 have been designed to be used as filtering respiratory protective
device and offer 15 minutes protection in case of fire; they are disposable and must to be disposed
of after use.
The escape hoods must be used only in the case of danger; they must not be used under normal
working conditions.
The escape hoods are available in one size only.
The H 900 series hoods consist of:
Bag made from antistatic fabric with belt loops, ring for wall‐application and side rings for use with

elastic sealing collar.
Anatomical‐shape silicone half‐mask designed to perfectly adapt to any face shape.
Expiration valve protected by cover.
Filter of different types that offer different protection levels:
902 CO P: protects from carbon monoxide and from gases, vapours and dusts possibly released
in case of fire
902 ABEK CO P: protects from carbon monoxide and from gases, vapours and dusts possibly
released in case of fire and/or in case of accidents implying the release of chemical substances,
with ABEK‐type protection (organic gas and fumes with boiling point > 65°C, inorganic gas and
vapours, acid gas and vapours, ammonia) tested according to the requirements of DIN 58647‐7
in terms of concentrations and flows.
The ABEK protection is not subjected to CE certification and has been tested only to obtain
information on the additional protection; check the Table 1 for the description of the
performances.
2. PERMITTED USE
The Escape Hoods H 900 CO P and H 900 ABEK CO P have been developed to be used as filtering
respiratory protective device during evacuation in case of fire (H 900 CO P) or fire implying emission
of chemical substances (H 900 ABEK CO P). The hood is intended solely as disposable emergency
