Adjusting
Temperature adjustment, see Figs. [14] and [15].
1. Open the shut-off knob (P) to the hand spray position and measure
the temperature of the running water using a thermometer,
see Fig. [14].
2. With the safety stop depressed, turn thermostat knob (W) until the
water temperature reaches 100 °F.
3. Lever out cap (W1), see Fig. [15].
4. Hold thermostat knob (W) firmly in this position and remove
screw (W2).
5. Remove thermostat knob (W) and reinstall so that the marking
the knob faces upwards.
6. Hold thermostat knob (W) firmly in this position and reinstall
screw (W2).
7. Refit cap (W1).
Temperature limitation
The safety stop limits the temperature range to 100
If a higher temperature is desired, the 100 °F limit can be overridden by
pulling the temperature selection handle (W).
Volume control for side spray, see Fig. [16].
Prevention of frost damage
When the domestic water system is drained, thermostat mixers must be
drained separately, since non-return valves are installed in the hot and
cold water connections. For this purpose, the shower system must be
removed from the wall.
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace if necessary and grease with special
fitting grease (order no. 18 012) if required.
I. Hand spray
- See enclosed operating instructions for hand spray,
Product no.: 28 255
II. Overhead spray, see Fig. [17].
1. Remove screw (O2) using a 4mm hexagon socket spanner.
2. Completely remove spray base (O3) and clean.
III. Side spray, see Fig. [18].
1. Remove screw (C) using a screwdriver.
2. Completely remove spray base (C1) and clean.
The function of the SpeedClean nozzles is guaranteed for a period of
five years.
Simply rub SpeedClean nozzles in order to remove limescale from
spray jet of hand, overhead and side sprays, see Fig. [19].
Assemble in reverse order.
Shut off the hot and cold water supply.
IV. Thermoelement, see Fig. [20].
1. Lever out cap (W1).
2. Remove screw (W2) and detach thermostat knob (W).
3. Remove adjusting nut (U).
4. Detach stop ring (U1).
5. Remove thermoelement (Y) using a 24mm open-ended spanner.
Assemble in reverse order.
Readjustment is necessary after every maintenance operation on the
thermostat (see Adjustment).
Please pass these instructions on to the user of the fitting.
The right to make technical modifications is reserved.

V. Ceramic headpart, see fold-out page VII Fig. [21].
1. Lever out cap (R1).
2. Remove screw (R2) and detach shut-off knob (R).
3. Remove splined adapter (R3) and economy stop (S).
4. Remove sleeve (Z) and holder (Z1).
5. Remove ceramic headpart (M) using a 17mm (11/16") open-ended
spanner.
Assemble in reverse order.

VI. Aquadimmer, see Fig. [22].
1. Lever out cap (P1).
2. Remove screw (P2) and detach shut-off knob (P).
3. Remove splined insert (P3) and stop (N).
4. Remove Aquadimmer (X) using a 19mm (3/4") open-ended spanner.
Assemble in reverse order.

Observe the correct mounting position, see Figs. [23] and [24].
1. The dissimilar pins (X1) and (X2) must engage in the corresponding
bores in the race, see Fig. [23].
2. Install stop (N) so that the arrow (N1) faces upwards, see Fig. [24].
3. Turn shut-off spindle on the Aquadimmer so that surface (X3) faces
upwards.
4. Insert splined adapter (P3) and turn so that the arrow (P4) faces
upwards.
5. Attach shut-off knob (P), making sure that button (P5) points to the
right.
VII. Non-return valve, see Fig. [25].
Thermostat
1. Remove temperature selection handle (W), shut-off knob (P) and (R);
proceed as for IV., V. and VI., points 1 and 2.
2. Remove escutcheons (L2) and fixing rings (L) using installation
tool (L1).
3. Remove set screw (O1) using 2.5mm hexagon socket spanner and
detach overhead spray (O).
4. Remove nut (K) and remove glass panel (J).
5. Remove non-return valve (I) with 17mm (11/16") socket wrench.
Spray hose
1. Unscrew spray hose (G) and screw union (G1).
2. Remove non-return valve (G2).
Assemble in reverse order.

Care
Clean glass panel with commercially available glass-cleaning agents.
