WARNING! Always make sure your work area is clear. Loose objects and small stones may be
thrown by the unit during regular use. Always maintain a minimum working area of 50 feet (15
meters) or more.
WARNING! Do not use the machine for sweeping or edging by tilting the cutting head. This could
throw loose objects and small stones 15 meters or more, causing damage or injury to people.
WARNING! Do not start the motor in tall grass
WARNING! When the engine has been switched off, the cutter continues spinning for several
seconds. Never touch the cutting head until it has come to a full stop.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Correct maintenance is essential to maintain the original efficiency and safety of the machine
over time.
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning work, always turn off the engine.
• Do not spray the unit with water. Ingress of water may damage the engine and electrical connec-
tions.
• Clean the unit with a cloth or soft hand brush only.
WARNING! During maintenance operations:
• Remove the spark plug cap.
• Wait until the engine is sufficiently cold.
Note: Never dispose of oils, fuel or other polluting materials in unauthorized places.

Expert inspection is required:
• If the grass trimmer strikes an object.
• If the motor stops suddenly
• If the nylon cutting head is damaged
• If the internal gears are damaged.
Always clean and rewind the nylon spool at the end of the trimming season:
Always clean the nylon spool or, if required, replace the spool. Always have the nylon spool
cleaned or replaced by a qualified customer service center.
