8. SAFETY WARNINGS
GENERAL
•
The equipment described in this manual is designed to work with clean water at temperatures lower
than 35 ºC.
•
The Combo is designed to work with swimming pool water. Its use with other types of water has not
been considered.
•
The equipment should be installed following the safety instructions for swimming pools.
•
Contact with electrical voltage should be avoided.
•
Current regulations referring to accident prevention should be followed.
•
Any modification to the equipment requires prior authorisation from the manufacturer. The original spare
parts and accessories authorised by the manufacturer guarantee a higher level of safety. The manufacturer of
the equipment will not be held responsible for damage caused by non-authorised spare parts or accessories.
•
During operation, some parts of the equipment are at dangerous electrical voltages. Work on each
element or on equipment involved with it must only be done after disconnecting them from the mains and after
disconnecting starter devices.
•
The user must make certain that assembly and maintenance work is carried out by qualified and
authorised individuals, who have first carefully read the installation and service instructions.
•
Operational safety of the machine is only guaranteed if installation and service instructions.
•
The maximum values indicated in the technical specifications should not be exceeded under any
circumstances.
•
In the event of faulty operation or breakdown, contact the manufacturer's Service Centre, or the
manufacturer's nearest representative.
•
The standard UNE 20-460-93 Part 7-702: ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS IN BUILDINGS. SPECIAL
INSTALLATIONS FOR POOLS must be complied with.
WARNINGS ON INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY WORK
•
While connecting the electrical cables to the equipment, check the inside of the connection box, make
sure that debris from the cable does not remain inside after it has been closed, and that the earth conductor is
correctly connected.
•
Special care should be taken that water never enters the motor or electrical parts under voltage.
•
In the event that the use is not the same as indicated, supplementary technical regulations and
adjustments may be necessary.
•
It is recommended that the filtration box is not drilled, as water in the ground could penetrate through
any underground hole.
WARNINGS ON START-UP
•
Before starting up the equipment, check the calibration of the electrical protection devices of the motor
and that the protections against electrical and mechanical contact are correctly positioned and fixed.
•
Do not start the pump if there is no water in the swimming pool.
•
Do not start up the filtration operation if the water level does not cover part of the hinged cover of the
skimmer.
•
Never switch on the underwater light if it is not submerged in water.
WARNINGS ON MAINTENANCE WORK
•
Avoid contact with the moving parts of the equipment, including accidental contact.
•
Wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before carrying out any procedures on the
equipment.
•
Before carrying out any electrical or mechanical maintenance work, ensure that the machine has been
disconnected from the electricity supply and that the starter devices are blocked.
•
Do not handle the equipment whilst you have wet feet.
WARNINGS ON USING THE FILTRATION UNIT
•
Never stand on the cover of the filtration box or the front module.
•
Do not allow children or adults to handle or sit on the equipment.
•
Never use the front module as a diving board to dive into the pool.
•
Never use the front module as a support for getting out of the pool.
•
Keep the space for the skimmer (where the basket is located) free of objects.
•
Keep the skimmer baskets and the pre-filter of the pump clean.
