6. MAINTENANCE
•
It is essential that contact is avoided with the moving parts of the equipment, including accidental
contact.
•
Wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before carrying out any procedures on the
equipment.
•
Before carrying out any electrical or mechanical maintenance work, ensure that the machine has been
disconnected from the electricity supply and that the starters are blocked.
•
Make sure that the ground is dry before touching electrical equipment.
•
Do not handle the equipment whilst you have wet feet.
6.1. WASHING THE FILTER CARTRIDGES
The cartridge should be washed when the flow is seen to fall off. It is recommended that the cartridge is washed
when the manometer registers a reading of between 2 kg and 2.5 kg. To wash the cartridge, proceed as
indicated:
•
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig. 21).
•
Place the CLOSED tab of valve A in the PORT1 position.
•
Turn the upper cover of the filter in an anti-clockwise direction until it is released, then remove the cover
and the filter cartridge. Place the cartridge under the stream of water from a garden hose at low
pressure until the cartridge is seen to be clean. Clean the filter from top to bottom spraying the water at
a 45º angle (fig. 26).
•
Place the filter back in its position and close the cover.
•
Put the valves back in the filtration position.
•
At the start of the bathing season or after several washing cycles, it may be necessary to change the
filter cartridge. Ask your supplier or specialist store.
6.2. CLEANING THE SKIMMER BASKET
The skimmer basket accumulates leaves and other particles floating in the water. The basket should be cleaned
from time to time so that it does not become blocked. To remove the basket, proceed as follows:
•
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig. 21).
•
Open the access cover to the front module skimmer.
•
Take the handle of the basket and turn it until it is in a position where it can be removed vertically (fig.
27).
•
Once leaves and other particles have been cleaned from the basket, it should be put back into position.
To secure it correctly, turn the basket inside its cavity until it locks and cannot be pulled out vertically.
6.3. CLEANING THE PRE-FILTER OF THE PUMP
It is advisable that the condition of the pre-filter of the pump is checked periodically to ensure that it does not
become blocked. If there is accumulated dirt, the unit must be opened and cleaned. To clean the pre-filter,
proceed as follows:
•
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (disconnection) (fig. 21).
•
Place the CLOSED tab of valve A in the PORT1 position.
•
Turn the upper cover of the pre-filter in an anti-clockwise direction until it is released, then remove the
cover and pre-filter basket for cleaning.
•
Place the basket back in its position. Put the cover seal correctly into place to close it. Put the valves in
the filtration position.
