POWER SUPPLY
AC Power Operation
Connect the AC Power Cord to your AC household mains outlet and switch on the
mains supply. Make sure the voltage is compatible.
Battery Operation
1. Remove mains lead from the unit for battery operation.
2. Open the Battery Compartment at the back of the radio and insert four UM3 batte-
ries following the polarity diagramshown inside the battery compartment.
3. Batteries should be removed form the compartment if the unit is not to be used for
some time.
4. Flat batteries should be removed from the unit to avoid leakage
RADIO OPERATION
1. Press the Power ON/OFF Button (5) to power ON the unit.
2. Choose the radio wave band (AM, FM or SW) using the BAND Button (12 or 13)
3. Search for the station of your choice using the Tuning knob (4).
4. To switch off the radio, press the Power button (5) to OFF.
Antenna
For FM reception there is a built-in telescopic FM antenna (18) at the rear of the unit.
Extend the antenna and move it around to obtain the best reception.
For AM / SW reception the signals are picked up through a built-in ferrite antenna.
Your may have to orient the unit to obtain the best reception.
