When you are playing back a disc with index markers, this is how
you select the index markers for listening:

With playback stopped, press the SKIP
buttons to select the required track.

Use the INDEX buttons of the remote
control unit to select the index number.

Press PLAY to start playback from the
selected index mark.
< If you use the INDEX buttons while playing back, it is
possible to move between index markers within the current
track.
< If you try to enter an index number which is higher than the
highest index marker in the track, playback starts from the
last index number of the track.
< The following mark appears on discs where tracks are
subdivided by index markers.

Playing back one track (single playback)

Single playback mode plays one track and then stops. This
function is convenient for selecting one track only from a disc.

With playback stopped, press the SINGLE
button of the remote control unit.
The SINGLE indicator lights.
< Press the SINGLE button again to stop the single function
(the indicator goes out).

Use the number buttons or SKIP button to
select the track.
If you use the number buttons, playback starts. If you use
the SKIP buttons, start playback with the PLAY button.
Playback stops at the end of the selected track.
< If you press the SINGLE button while playing back, playback
stops at the end of the current track.
< Even when single playback is enabled, you can select other
tracks using the SKIP buttons.
< If you fast-forward to the end of the tracks in single
playback mode, playback pauses at the end of the track.
