4.3.8 Compensating unevenness
If there is an unevenness on the floor, the compensating plates contained in
ACCESSORY SET-B must be fixed by dowels to make sure that the ladder stands
safely. Unevenness bigger than cm must be compensated by the customer himself.
4.4 Doorsill holder ACCESSORY SET-B pit ladder
The doorsill holder must be mounted to the ladder if the ladder is leaned against
the doorsill. The doorsill holder secures the ladder against tilting to one side while
descending.
For lack of space the doorsill holder has to be mounted so that it extends into the
shaft and not towards the wall, when the wall support is in its storage position!
4.4.. Put the ladder into the previously mounted floor attachment and lean the ladder
against the doorsill.
4.4.2. Slide the doorsill holder between the ladder and the sill, so that its shorter angled
side lies on the doorsill.
4.4.5 Securing the ladder with the lock bolt in case of hinged
landing doors
In the shorter angled part of the doorsill holder there is a drilling.
Optionally a 6mm hole can be drilled through this into the doorsill
where the bolt affixed to the chain can be put in.
So the ladder is secure against unintended backsliding.
4.4.3. Push the doorsill holder firmly against the ladder and
pull the ladder aback, so that you can mark the drill holes
for the doorsill holder on the ladder.
4.4.5. Screw the doorsill holder
to the ladder with the provided
tapping screws.
