ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR
POLAR HOOD, WALL VERSION
Phase 1
1) Identify the desired distance (H1) between the hood and the hob (Fig. P1).
2) Remove the back (A). to do this remove the caps (V1) and the internal
screws (V2).
3) Mark the position of the 4 holes F1 and F2, as per Fig. P1 and Fig. P2.
Alternatively, use the drilling template provided
4) Drill the holes, insert Ø8mm expansion joints. Fix the back to the wall with
the relevant screws
5) With a spirit level check that the back is aligned both horizontally and verti-
cally.
Phase 2
1) Secure the hood to the back, with the 4 hooks (V3). Make sure the hood
moves 1cm down.
2) Check that the hooks are resistant (Fig. P3).
3) Screw in the two top screws (V2) without tightening them completely.
4) Lift the hood to the desired height, then tighten the top and bottom screws
(V2).
5) If the hood is of extraction type identify the correct length of the exhaust
duct and connect the hood: when possible, the top (B) can be removed
temporarily by undoing the screws (V4).
6) Connect the electric system only after having disconnected the hood from
the power supply.
INSTALLATION OF HOODS WITH A GLASS SECTION
1) Remove the metal filter using the corresponding handle (C).
2) Disconnect the connector (D) of the spotlight cable.
3) Remove the body (E) from the cone (F) by unscrewing the 4 knurled metric
screws M4 (V5).
4) Unscrew a little bit the two centering and anti-rotation metric screws (V6) in
the bottom flange of the cone (F). Centre the holes on the glass section with
the metric screws.
5) Attach the body (E) to the cone (F) with the 4 knurled metric screws M4.
6) Connect the connector (D) again.
7) Put the filter back in place using the corresponding handle (C) - fig. P4.
