IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read through all the instructions before starting to use the
heater. Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for
future reference.
1. Supervision is necessary when the heater is used in the
vicinity of children.
2. The heater must not be used outdoors.
3. Stand the heater on its base (13) on a dry, firm, even
surface. Make sure it is standing securely so that it cannot
tip over or fall down. The heater must only be used in an
upright position. Do not leave the heater unsupervised
during use.
4. Unwind the power cord completely. An incompletely
unwound cord can lead to overheating and cause a fire. Do
not touch the power cord with wet hands. Make sure that
there are no objects resting on the power cable and make
sure it is not positioned where people could trip over it.
5. Do not use an extension cord, a multiway connector or
an infinitely variable speed controller. This can lead to
overheating, fire or electric shock.
6. Connect the heater only to a single phase socket with
the current as stated on the appliance's type plate.
7. Always switch the heater off with the rotary power
switch (2) and always disconnect the power plug (12)
from the socket when the heater is not in use, or when it is
moved, handled or cleaned. Do not tug at the power cord
to disconnect the power plug. The heater must only be
handled with dry hands.
8. Do not use the heater anywhere near easily inflammable
gases or substances such as solvents, lacks, glues, etc..
9. Do not position the heater directly below a power plug.
10. Do not use the heater in close vicinity of a bathroom, a
shower, or a swimming-pool.
11. Do not use the heater in any kind of vehicle (e.g. con-
structor's shed, elevator, lift, caravan, motor vehicle,
cabin) or similarly enclosed space.
12. Caution: The air outlet grid (11) of the heater gets very
hot during use. Burnable materials such as cushions, pil-
lows, duvets, furniture, paper, curtains, stores and clothing
must be kept at least 100 cm distance away from the hea-
ter. (Fig. 1)
13. Keep the heater clean. Make sure that the air inflow
grid (10) and air outlet grid (11) are opened before you
start using the heater. Do not allow any objects to get into
the air intake grid (10) or air outlet grid (11). Do not cover

ter), as this can lead to overheating, fire or electric shock.
14. Do not dip the heater in water or any other liquids and
do not pour water or any other liquids over the appliance
or into the air intake grid (10) or air outlet grid (11).

instructions.
16. The heater must be operated according to the specific
instructions in this instruction manual. Non-observance of
these instructions can result in injuries, a fire, an electric
shock or faults in the appliance.
17. The heater is intended exclusively for domestic use
indoors. It is not designed for commercial use.
18. If the power cord of the heater is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or by a manufacturer-appro-
ved workshop or similarly qualified persons so that dama-
ge can be avoided.
19. Do not use the heater if it is damaged, or if it might be
damaged, if it has fallen over, or if does not function cor-
rectly. Disconnect the power plug from the power socket.

FIRST TIME OF USE
1. Read through all the instructions before starting to use
the heater.
2. Unpack the heater and power cord. Remove all packa-
ging materials and dispose of them for recycling.
3. Stand the heater on its base (13) on a dry, firm, even
surface. Make sure it is standing securely so that it cannot
tip over or fall down. A safety distance of 100 cm from
other objects must be observed.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Make sure that the rotary power switch (2) is in the OFF
position (3). Insert the power plug into the power socket.
