An object with a strong light in the background usually appears dark and not so visible if compared with the
rest of image. The BACKLIGHT function allows to solve this problem and obtain a good compensation in
the selected area (defined by position and dimension) increasing the brightness if the area appears dark or
reducing it if too clear.
Selecting this menu item you can choose among the options OFF (not active), BLC and HSBLC.
BLC is accessed by selecting the following submenu:
LEVEL
AREA
DEFAULT
RETURN
The options available for LEVEL are: middle, high, low. The function AREA allows to define dimension and
position.
HSBLC is accessed by selecting the following submenu:
SELECT
DISPLAY
BLACK MASK
LEVEL
MODE
DEFAULT
RETURN
The SELECT menu provides 4 areas. For those areas set their position and size (DISPLAY), their
brightness level (0 to 255) and their MODE (ALL DAY and NIGHT, which you can adjust the AGC LEVEL
for) to enable the BLACK MASK . You can use the DEFAULT command to reset the previous values.
Selecting LEVEL allows to choose the desired percentage.
When adjusting the Level, make sure the set up adjusting value is acceptable for both day and night.
Use a low percentage if there is faint light around the light source (to obtain the max. compensation); use a
high percentage if there is bright light around the light source (to obtain the min. compensation).
