5 Functional description
The cleaning process is controlled by the user via the robot outputs. For cleaning, the torch is clamped in the clamping device
on the cylindrical part of the gas nozzle. The reamer, which is tailored to the gas nozzle and torch geometry, moves into the
gas nozzle interior by means of compressed air and removes adhering weld spatter. The cleaning process is optimized
by an optional air-blast function through the cable assembly. The cleaned gas nozzle interior is subsequently sprayed with
a dosed quantity of anti-spatter fluid to help prevent the adhesion of spatter.

CAUTION
Risk of injury
Physical injury due to falling devices and add-on components.
• Use an appropriate lifting tool with load securing devices for transporting and installing the BRS-LC robot welding
power source.
• Avoid abrupt lifting and setting down.
• Do not lift the components over persons or other devices.
• Transport the components in an upright position.
• Wear your personal protective equipment: safety shoes with steel toe caps, protective gloves, safety helmet, ear
protectors.
• Send bystanders out of the danger zone.
• Note the weight of the individual components.
3.1 Technical data on page EN-6
CAUTION
Risk of toppling
Physical injury or damage to components due to improper assembly.
• Disconnect the supply lines.
• Place the components on a suitable base (flat, solid, dry) on which they will not topple over.
