Select DRC and press the button to gain access to the following submenu:

This option allows to manually adjust DRC backlight compensation level.
Select AREA and press the button to gain access to the following submenu:
LEVEL
HLM
AREA
RETURN
Select LEVEL to choose between two options: LOW and HIGH. Use LOW with poor light around the light
source (to obtain the max. compensation); use HIGH with more light around the light source (to obtain the
min. compensation).
The function HLM (High Level Masking or Eclipse function) must be used for shooting under excessive light
conditions. In the image, the areas too bright are darkened, in order to obtain a sharper display of the
subject.
Select HLM ON and press th button to gain access to the following submenu:

TONE
RETURN
The LEVEL command allows to select the backlight compensation level.
The TONE command allows to select the images colour intensity.
Select AREA to define size and position of the area where to increase brightness.
Select SIZE to enlarge or reduce the area, by moving the button down or up.
Press again the button to go back to the previous menu.
Select POS – POSITION and press the button, then move the button up and down or right and left to place
the previously selected area in the desired position.
Press again the button to go back to the previous menu.
