4. No detection
Owing to their low reflective properties, the sensors may not be able to detect the following
objects:
– very low, thin or pointed objects (wires, ropes, wire fences, etc.)
– objects with high absorption properties (snow, cotton, etc.)
– sharp angled objects.
The system may not be able to detect the lower part of certain designs of bumper.
C. OPERATION procedure
1. Start the engine.
CAUTION
Make sure the engine is running in order to prevent
the battery from discharging.
2. Engage the shift lever to "R" (reverse) to activate the
Toyota Parking Aid.
3. The system emits a short beep to confirm that it is
working correctly.
4. The system is now ready to detect obstacles.
Only if cancellation switch is installed
(optional)
In case of using a trailer, the cancellation switch has to
be turned "off" to avoid false detection of the trailer.
The cancellation switch is installed in the trunk of the
vehicle.
(A) "RED" = "ON" = sensors active
(B) "BLACK" = "OFF" = sensors not active
