Normally we recommend the use of generating
sets with twice rated power of a single phase
power source or 1.5 times that of a three-phase
power source.
The use of electronic control type generating sets
is recommended.
In order to protect users, the equipment must be
correctly earthed. The power supply voltage is pro-
vided with an earth lead (yellow - green), which
must be connected to a plug provided with earth
contact.
The electrical connections must be made by
skilled technicians with the specific professional
and technical qualifications and in compliance
with the regulations in force in the country where
the equipment is installed.
The power source supply cable is provided with a yellow/
green wire that must ALWAYS be earthed. This yellow/green
wire shall NEVER be used with other voltage conductors.
Verify the existence of the earthing in the equipment used
and the good condition of the sockets.
Install only certified plugs according to the safety regula-
tions.
2.4 Installation
Connection for MMA welding
The connection shown in the figure produces
reverse polarity welding. To obtain straight polar-
ity welding, reserve the connection.
- Connect (1) the earth clamp to the negative socket (-) (2) of
the power source.
- Connect (3) the electrode holder to thpositive socket (+) (4)
of the power source.
Connection for TIG welding
- Connect (5) the earth clamp to the positive socket (+) (6)
ofthe power source.
- Connect the TIG torch coupling (7) to the torch socket (8)
ofthe power source.
- Separately connect the torch gas hose connector to the gas main.
The protection gas flow can be adjusted using
the tap normally found on the torch.
Connection for MIG/MAG welding
- Connect the MIG/MAG torch to the central adapter (9),
ensuring that the fastening ring is fully tightened.
- Connect the red colored
inlet quick connector of the cooling unit (10).
- Connect the blue colored
outlet quick connector of the cooling unit (11).
- Connect the power cable (12) to the positive pole (13) of the
terminal strip to change polarity (see "Changing the welding
polarity").
- Connect the signal cable (14) to the connector (15) on the
front of the power source.
- Connect the earth clamp (16) to the negative socket (-) (17) of
the power source.
